Locker 56 has quickly become the foundation’s signature program. Through this program, children in need are provided new athletic shoes.  Children actually get to enjoy the shopping experience while selecting their shoes at approved retailer locations.  Keith Brooking meets with groups of children during the year and assists them in selecting shoes.  Shoe choices may include everyday athletic shoes or shoes that are sports specific.  Keith believes that children should be encouraged to participate in sports and other physical activities that promote good health and improve fitness. The demand for shoes through this program tripled in 2006. Locker 56 awarded over 500 pairs of shoes in 2007, and has awarded over 1,000 pairs of shoes since the program was founded.

Available to high school seniors of Coweta County who have been accepted to an accredited college.  Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, scholastic achievements, community/civic service, grade point average and SAT scores. 

The two types of scholarships offered are:

• Keith Brooking Achiever – a one-time award of $1,000
• Keith Brooking Scholar – a renewable award in the amount of $2,500

Over $20,000 in scholarships have been awarded since 2005.
